How to Set Up an Audio Interface in Logic Pro

This guide shows you how to route your hardware audio interface into Logic Pro for recording and monitoring. Proper setup ensures low latency and high-quality audio capture from your microphones or instruments.
Follow these steps
Connect the Hardware
Plug your interface into your Mac and turn it on. If it requires drivers, ensure they are installed according to the manufacturer's website.
Open Audio Settings
Go to Logic Pro > Settings (or Preferences) > Audio. Navigate to the 'Devices' tab to see your current input and output options.
Select Your Device
Click the dropdown menus for Input Device and Output Device. Select your specific interface name for both options to ensure consistent routing.
Apply and Initialize
Click 'Apply Changes' at the bottom of the window. Logic will briefly re-initialize the audio engine to recognize your hardware.

- Selecting the interface as Input but leaving the Output as Built-in Speakers.
