How to Edit Audio, Fades, and Crossfades in Logic Pro

Follow these steps
Trim audio regions
Select the Pointer tool and hover over the bottom-left or bottom-right corner of an audio region to trim its length.
Select the Fade Tool
Open the Tool menu (press 'T') and select the Fade Tool to enable specialized fading actions.
Apply a Fade-in or Fade-out
Click and drag from the very edge of a region inward to create a smooth volume ramp-up or ramp-down.
Create a Crossfade
Drag across the border where two regions touch to create a crossfade, blending the two sounds together.
Adjust the fade curve
To adjust the curve of the fade, click and drag the middle of the fade line to make it more or less gradual.
Common mistakes
- Applying a fade that is too long, which might accidentally cut off the attack of the next audio transient.
- Forgetting to turn off the Fade tool after use, leading to accidental edits when trying to move regions.
